Avatar Phone is a smartphone application that reads your facial expressions with your smartphone's camera and uses them in real time to animate an avatar for talking, texting, or video sharing.
Not only can your avatar mimic the position of your head, your eye blinks, and the movements of your eyebrows and mouth—it can also recognize if you are happy, angry, or sad and express that with special emotes unique to manga.
If you smile, for example, the avatar’s eyes might become heart-shaped. Get angry, and a throbbing vein appears. If you yawn, your avatar's nose will bubble, or it might drool.
With an avatar that mirrors your facial expressions, you can also talk to someone without revealing your true identity.
Instead of showing your real face, you can use your avatar to show your expressions, which can make for a fun and comfortable way to talk with someone you are meeting for the first time.
You can also record the avatar mimicking your expressions and then post the video.
