Technology
poimo is a new type of electric vehicle made of inflatables (air membrane structure). Conventional vehicles are heavy, rigid, and space consuming. The poimo defies the stereotype and offers human-friendly features: light weight, soft, and foldable. It is also available in a wide variety of shapes, such as motorcycle, sofa, and wheelchair types. A remarkable technology is the offering of a design software system that generates custom-made poimo pattern data for each individual user from the intuitive input of 3D posture. In combination with technologies such as physically pliable control interface, wireless power supply, and self-driving, we are aiming to popularize poimo as a convenient form of transportation for short distances.
