Imagine human abilities are shared over digital networks. This demonstration is based on the concept of IoA (Internet of Abilities) aiming at human augmentation proposed by Prof. Jun Rekimoto. A telepresence robot with omnidirectional cameras can be a delegate of a remote person and help to communicate with the peer. Audio and visual information of 360-degree surroundings are captured and transmitted to an immersive dome display to realize real-time bi-directional communication. The visitors can touch the edge of this hyper-realistic experience.
Connected with the IoA technologies, visitors can get the immersive sports watching experience even from a remote live-viewing site. Supporters at the site and players at the stadium can communicate with others by using our JackIn system.
For example,
・Augmentation of User Experience : visitors can JackIn to the remote robot or drone and move around
・Augmentation of Presence : visitors can participate in the remote event and communicate with players
・Transmission of Human Abilities : can get a personal coaching from the remote peer
